Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle

Elephant and Castle is probably the last place you’d call a foodie destination, but last night I found a reason to head to this forgotten bit of London’s zone 1. Elephant and Castle is now home to a Milan style food market called Mercato Metropolitano.

Italian Food at Antipasto & Pasta

I'm trying to eat my way around the world without leaving London and this week It's Italy's turn.
You don't really have to look all that hard in order to find a plate of pasta here, but it did make me a bit indecisive. I went for my local Italian restaurant called L'Antipasto on Battersea Park Road.

It's a small but friendly place, however the acoustics are a bit rubbish so when it's full, it's loud. Especially in summer when they open the windows and the Battersea Park Road traffic seems to drive right by your table.
