It's Afternoon Tea Week and what better way to celebrate than to have afternoon tea. I had a wee look on www.afternoontea.co.uk and found an incredible deal for Afternoon Tea at the Tiger Brasserie at the Hilton Green Park. 41 quid for two. Including champagne.
So my mum and I dodged a few downpours and the Prudential Ride London cyclists and ventured over to Green Park.
We were welcomed by very friendly staff who showed us to our table and explained all we needed to know about the different teas. They also said we could try as many flavours as we wanted to, but we didn't manage ore than two each. My bladder only holds as much as two pots.
As we sipped our champagne, the étagère was brought out, which carried four different finger sandwiches. There was salmon, chicken, egg salad and the always present cucumber and cream cheese. There were plain scones and fruit scones and as for the sweeties there was a carrot cake, a brownie, a macaroon, elder-flower jelly and a fruity meringue.
That's an amazing deal especially with two glasses of bubbles - champagne normally sets up back another £10 each at least so that was definitely a steal of an afternoon tea xx
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? That site afternoontea.co.uk is definitely worth checking if you're going to have afternoon tea.
